Orcas Island’s Fourth of July is a beloved, small-town celebration that brings together locals and visitors for a full day of community spirit, tradition, and fun. In 2026, the celebration holds special significance as we honor the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence- marking a historic milestone in island style! The holiday showcases the heart and generosity of our island through a variety of events: The annual 5k Fun Run, the beloved community picnic, Independence Day parade, live entertainment—featuring this year’s headliner, Tom Petty tribute band Petty Fever and the Eastsound fireworks show.
